LPN - Cardio-Pulmonary (Inpatient)

Responsibilities

• Administer oral medications and IV piggyback fluids, excluding IV push meds.
• Assist with assessments, documentation, and care planning once initial assessments are completed by RNs.
• Perform dressing changes, trach care, NG tube insertion and maintenance, and ostomy care.
• Reinforce patient education and discharge instructions.
• Communicate with physicians and advanced practice providers for orders and care coordination.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from American Heart Association (AHA).
• College diploma in Nursing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare team.
