LPN - Cardio-Pulmonary (Inpatient)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Administer oral medications and IV piggyback fluids, excluding IV push meds.
• Perform dressing changes, trach care, NG tube insertions, and ostomy care.
• Chart assessments and contribute to care plans after initial RN assessments.
• Communicate with physicians and APPs to coordinate care and receive orders.
• Reinforce patient education and discharge instructions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• College diploma as an LPN.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with RNs and healthcare team.
