Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with state/federal regulations.
- Oversee daily clinical operations, staff supervision, scheduling, and support for the nursing team.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys.
- Cook up and oversee the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate and oversee the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized resident care plans.
- Monitor documentation for accuracy and compliance with care plans, regulatory requirements, and facility policies.
- Educate and mentor nursing staff in MDS processes, care planning, and clinical best practices.
Qualifications
- A current LPN license in Minnesota.
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
- A strong knowledge of MDS 3.0, care planning, and RAI guidelines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- The ability to balance clinical oversight with administrative responsibilities.
