LPN Ambulatory Team Lead – Pediatrics

About the role

The LPN Ambulatory Team Lead supports patients and the interdisciplinary care team in the Pediatrics Department at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus. This role coordinates daily operations and engages with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and document objective and subjective data about the patient
  • Contribute observations and health information to the nursing assessment and reports all data to the RN or authorized directing health care provider
  • Implement the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN, or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing health care provider
  • Document and verbally communicate the patient’s response to the nursing plan of care, or the medication or treatment including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests
  • Provide education and information to patients and family members
  • Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner, share knowledge, experiences, and provide guidance when assigned and provide feedback to nursing leadership
  • Achieve compliance with regulatory, patient safety and HIPAA requirements and shares information with other team members
  • Assume a lead role in quality initiatives and process improvement to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and patient safety

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved school of Practical Nursing
  • 3 years recent clinical experience as an LPN
  • Current demonstrated clinical proficiency
  • Current Ohio License as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross within new hire period
  • Leadership experience

Qualifications

  • Physical Requirements: Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing, walking and occasional lifting. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pay

Pay Range: Minimum hourly: $24.25 Maximum hourly: $34.50

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
