About the role
The Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for its Adolescent Unit. The unit operates on a Night shift schedule and is full-time.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient health and administer basic care within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
- Collaborate with others to meet patients' physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in the patient's treatment.
- Provide safe medication administration in accordance with policies and procedures, physician orders, and current practice.
- Document patient symptoms, responses, and progress accurately and thoroughly.
- Perform other assigned functions and tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- One or more years of nursing experience within a clinical area of service provided by the facility (preferred).
- Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
