LPN - 1 EAST B- OBSERVATION/OUTPATIENT

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Completion of an approved Practical Nurse Program.
• Skills and Proficiency: Applying the technical skills of practical nursing.
• Knowledge: Human growth and development acquired through formal education course work.
• Licensure: Current licensure or permit as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas.
• Exam Knowledge: Meets minimum standard set for pharmacy exam.
• Experience: Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, practices, techniques, and equipment acquired through orientation.
• Physical: Safety sensitive position with exposure to biological hazards, close eye work, hearing of normal and soft tones, distinguishing smells, temperatures by touch and proximity, frequent exposure to fumes, odors, and water. Lifting up to 100 lbs., carrying up to 40 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the registered nurse, responsible for providing direct and/or indirect patient care. Incumbents are subject to overtime and callback as required by the hospital. Assists the registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient condition, treatments, and care given.
