What You Will Do

• Maintains consumer progress with treatment goals.
• Conducts clinical assessment to evaluate diagnostic eligibility and treatment needs.
• Provides cognitive behavioral therapy focusing on symptom reduction.
• Provides crisis intervention to reduce symptoms and prevent hospitalization.
• Trains and educates consumers on mental illness and problem-solving.
• Affords assistance in accessing necessary care and services.
• Participates in the formulation of consumer treatment plans.
• Safeguards services provided meet eligibility criteria and regulatory guidelines.
• Advocates for consumers to ensure their needs are met.
• Communicates with consumers, visitors, and staff effectively.
• Completes required reporting and training accurately and promptly.
• Maintains divisional productivity standards.
• Demonstrates ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities.
• Performs related work as assigned.

Education

• Master’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a social, behavioral, or human service field.
• Licensure through the State of Texas for one of the following: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• One to two years of clinical experience post-Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and insurability under Agency policy.

• Strong diagnostic skills, incorporating patient history, symptoms, and environmental factors.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clear, concise, and well-constructed written documentation.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
