Lower School Assistant Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and engaging Lower School Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms. This role works closely with the lead teacher to create a warm, structured, and joyful learning environment for our youngest students.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, structured, and joyful learning environment for young children
• Support academic, social, and emotional development of young learners
• Work closely with the lead teacher to implement curriculum and activities
• Engage with children actively throughout the day
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance student learning experiences

Qualifications

• College degree required; background in early childhood or education preferred
• Understanding of young child development
• A patient, positive, and team-oriented approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to be flexible, proactive, and dependable in a classroom setting
• Comfort with basic technology and classroom tools
• Physical stamina to actively engage with young children throughout the day
