About the role

J Ob Summary: Low voltage technicians work in a team environment to meet project objectives. They must have a great attitude, be dependable, willing to learn and take direction and are reliable to be on the job site.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cables, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with industry standards.
  • Build, install, and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware, while troubleshooting low voltage cable systems.
  • Perform cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, termination, and testing in accordance with BICSI standards, NEC, and local regulations to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and strong communication skills to resolve technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality, organized, and professional workmanship on all installations to meet project specifications and exceed customer expectations.
  • Travel to job sites anywhere within your state, may also be required to travel within the USA

Minimum Requirements

  • Tech 1: Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools; ability to lift/carry/setup a 50 pound box or ladder
  • Own low voltage tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)
  • Able to work 2nd/3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure
  • Pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical
  • Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
  • Commercial construction experience preferred

Preferred Experience

  • BICSI Technician or Installation Certification
  • Powder Actuated Tools Certification
  • Confined Space Certification
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance

Professional working proficiency in English

Pay Rate

  • Tech 1: $20.00 – $23.00/hour
  • Tech 2: $22.00 – $25.00/hour
  • Tech 3: $25.00 – $29.00/hour
