Slate LV is a new commercial low-voltage integration company founded by industry professionals who have spent years on both the client and contractor side of projects. We know what customers expect because we've been in their shoes. We're looking for a motivated Low Voltage Technician who wants more than just another installation job. As an early member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to help shape company culture, grow into project management roles, receive ongoing manufacturer and technical training, and work with modern technology systems. Your ideas matter.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot a variety of technology systems including:
- Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber)
- Network infrastructure and rack buildouts
- Access control systems
- IP video surveillance systems
- Audio/Visual systems and conference rooms
- Wireless access point installations
- Cable testing, certification, labeling, and documentation
- Device installation, programming, and commissioning
- Service calls, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Working alongside electricians, general contractors, and other trades
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional jobsite

Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial low-voltage installation experience
- Experience with structured cabling and network infrastructure
- Familiarity with access control and IP camera systems
- Basic networking knowledge (switches, PoE, IP addressing)
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
