Low Voltage Technician

About the role

You will be responsible for installing, trouble shooting, repairing, and maintaining Low Voltage systems including but not limited to Fire Alarm, Card Access, Camera, and Security systems. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of low voltage systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Your duties will include installation, programming, and commissioning of these low voltage systems. On the job training will be provided as needed for maximum proficiency.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • A registered Electrical apprentice license is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, equipment, and components, including their installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Ability to effectively use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of electrical field experience.
  • Proficient in Low Voltage systems installation and maintenance.
