General Duties And Responsibilities
- Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment.
- Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Repair and install network enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc.
- Affords assistance in keeping building common and technology spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition.
- Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI.
- Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.
- Attends Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrates safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.
- Obtains an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
- Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
Education And Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Knowledge of the Low Voltage Integration or ICT industry is required.
- BICSI and/or AVIXA certification is desirable but not required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.

- The employee must be able to move/lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights and be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools.
- The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site locations.
