About the Role

Kastle Technologies is looking to expand our workforce and welcome anyone interested in the low-voltage cabling, AV, and security fields to apply! No experience is needed if you're interested in beginning an apprenticeship—we will train!

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Repair and install network-enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc.
• Assist in keeping building common and technology spaces neat, orderly, and safe.
• Accomplish work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes, and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI.
• Update as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.
• Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency, including topics such as harassment prevention and ethics.
• Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
• Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of the Low Voltage Integration or ICT industry (desirable but not required for apprentices).
• BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers and employees.
