LINX · Monroe, LA · 2 days ago
Management$30–$38/hrFull-time

Crew Leadership & Workforce Management

Lead a team of low voltage technicians on active hyperscale data center and commercial construction jobsites — setting daily goals, managing productivity, and solving problems in real time
Handle workforce planning for your projects — crew scheduling, labor tracking, timesheet completion, and coordination with contract workers when scope requires additional hands

Project Execution & Quality Control

Own daily execution of structured cabling, fiber optic, and low voltage infrastructure scopes — high-density fiber optic networks, Cat6A/Cat8, pathway systems, etc.
Monitor job progress against schedule daily, track costs using project reporting tools and Bluebeam, and adjust crew deployment and material staging to protect the timeline
Manage Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) — tracking scope changes for materials and labor accurately and ensuring proper documentation flows to the PM and estimating team
Oversee on-site materials management — ordering supplies, coordinating deliveries, managing warehouse communication, and ensuring materials are staged and accounted for

Quality & Safety

Operate and interpret results from test equipment including Fluke Testers, OTDR's & power meters — and ensure all test documentation meets project specifications and client standards
Lead daily safety compliance on-site — toolbox talks, hazard identification, PPE enforcement, and adherence to site-specific safety plans, particularly the stringent access control and safety requirements common in hyperscale data center environments
Conduct quality control checks throughout installation — not just at close-out — and hold your crew to LINX standards at every phase

Customer & Stakeholder Communication

Maintain professional, proactive communication with clients and GCs at your assigned sites — represent LINX as a competent, organized operation every day on site
Participate in pre-bid walkthroughs and post-project reviews with Project Managers, Estimating, and Sales teams
Escalate customer concerns, scope conflicts, or schedule risks to the PM immediately — don't let small issues become large ones

Experience Requirements

3–5 years of hands-on low voltage or structured cabling installation experience, with mastery of installation methods, tools, and quality standards across copper and fiber systems
1–2 years in a field leadership role — Lead Technician, working Foreman, or equivalent — where you were responsible for crew productivity and quality, not just your own work
Experience with hyperscale data center clients such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta, etc.

Technical Skills

Full mastery of low voltage tools, equipment, and installation processes — you can do everything you're asking your crew to do, and you can teach it
Ability to read and interpret construction documents — Scope of Work, Bill of Materials, as-builts, blueprints, and project schedules
Proficiency with industry-standard test equipment and the ability to run tests, interpret results, troubleshoot failures, and produce clean documentation
Familiarity with project cost tracking and Bluebeam Revu for document management and markup
Working knowledge of applicable industry standards - BICSI, Division 27, etc.

Leadership & Communication

Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and hold accountable a crew of 10-20 technicians in a fast-paced construction environment
Strong written and verbal communication in English — you will interact directly with clients, GCs, and internal teams on a daily basis
Ability to manage staffing, scheduling, timesheets, and change order documentation accurately and on time

Valid driver's license required
Ability to travel 100% across the USA for projects
