Low Voltage / Access Control Technician (copy)

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician II to join our team and serve our clients in the Blue Ash, Ohio area. This role requires advanced skills, training, certifications, and leadership abilities to lead installation teams, configure and program devices, oversee system commissioning, and deliver customer training.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities while upholding the highest standards of installation and service.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills in handling project and service tickets, ensuring streamlined interaction and prompt updates.
• Exhibit a deep understanding of project scopes and service expectations, taking full accountability for assigned tasks.
• Assume leadership responsibilities by delegating tasks, fostering collaboration, and mentoring Level 1 installers.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Showcase expertise in nurse call systems, card access systems, and video surveillance products.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, particularly in leadership and communication skills.
• Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) of products before installation to ensure quality and performance.
• Demonstrate proficiency in system configuration and successful commissioning of systems.
• Embrace flexibility by accepting additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a previous construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.).
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations, and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Previous experience completing projects within scope and with service ticketing processes.
• 1+ year of previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, or emergency nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid US Driver’s license.
