Lounge - Lounge Server - Full Time

Job Summary

The Lounge Server helps create a joyful and vibrant community by providing prompt and excellent service to residents & guests in the lounge, overseeing operations, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides a great experience for all residents and guests in the Lounge.
• Ensures all food & beverage venues in the lounge are clean and well maintained.
• Greet residents and guests promptly as they enter the Lounge area.
• Pre-open review includes daily menu and specials, personal presentation, inventory stock, residents' special needs and concerns, and daily service training points.
• Prepares food items and serves food to residents within scheduled timeframe.
• Fulfills inventory control, places orders, and restocks Lounge supply shelves/closet.
• Reports and communicates problems, concerns, and issues observed with food or beverage service.
• Maintains a neat, safe working environment including the kitchen and food service areas.
• Adheres to state sanitation codes and company procedures for fire, life, safety, disaster, security, worker safety, and other emergencies.
• Maintains the quality of food prepared and samples the food to ensure quality of what is served to the residents.
• Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.
• Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in dining room/lounge service and food prep preferred.
• Commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications.
• Compassion and special interest in working with the senior population.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Positive, effective, and appropriate communication skills with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other community staff.
• Problem-solving ability in both resident care and employee management.
• Maintains a clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Reads, writes, speaks, and understands English.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Criminal background and fingerprint check clearance.
• Maintains current Food Handlers card.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
