Louisville – Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate
About the role
The Louisville office of Fisher Phillips is seeking a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate with 3+ years of litigation experience to join their growing team. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in litigation and the ability to manage substantive case responsibilities with increasing independence. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners while taking a lead role in case strategy, client communications, discovery, motion practice, and other meaningful client-facing work.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and responding to pleadings
- Managing written and electronic discovery, including e-discovery strategy
- Drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions
- Taking and defending depositions
- Participating in mediations
Requirements
- Experience handling litigation matters from inception through resolution, including:
- Handling all aspects of employment law cases
- Managing multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Excellent academic credentials
- Advanced writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- The ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative mindset, empathy for teammates, and a strong commitment to client service
Skills
- Admission to the Kentucky Bar required; Admission to the Indiana Bar a plus
