Louisiana ACT Math Teacher Mentor/Consultant/Instructional Coach

About the role

Supports the development and implementation of instructional strategies that enhance student learning outcomes in mathematics. Works closely with teachers to provide mentorship and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach teachers in implementing effective math instruction strategies.
• Assist in the development and delivery of professional development workshops focused on improving math teaching practices.
• Evaluate teacher performance and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth.
• Collaborate with school leadership to align math curriculum and instruction with state standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
• Teaching certification in Mathematics.
• Experience in K-12 education, preferably in a classroom setting.
• Strong understanding of current educational research and best practices in mathematics education.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for improving student achievement in mathematics.
• Proficiency in using technology tools for math instruction and assessment.

Skills

• Knowledge of Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and formative assessment techniques.
