LOTO/Energy Coordinator
About the role
The LOTO Coordinator is responsible for supervising field crews and ensuring adherence to the Faith LOTO Policy/Process.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates ability to run small projects (2-5 electricians) effectively
- Establishes expectations and motivates crews to consistently meet or beat goals
- Consistently completes projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner
- Demonstrates ability to complete basic paperwork (foreman logs, performance evaluations, purchase order logs, timecards, etc.) in a timely manner
- Demonstrates ability to obtain, organize, and manage materials effectively and develop as-built documentation
- Effectively manages resources (tools, equipment, staffing)
- Performs LOTO audits, ensures the Faith LOTO Program is executed appropriately and accurately
- Trains and mentors Faith employees and other trades in the Faith LOTO Program
- Coordinates activities for locking out, releasing lock-outs, Energizations and Re-Energizations
- Effectively manages face-to-face evaluations with field crews
- Consistently enforces and promotes workplace safety procedures (weekly toolbox talks, weekly safety audits, appropriate documentation, etc.)
- Maintains compliance with company policies; consults with HR and/or project management to ensure consistent corrective measures are taken and documentation completed
- Actively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate
- Has an excellent knowledge of the buildings power system that he or she is tasked with overseeing
- Can focus and see through numerous tasks simultaneously
- Has proven expertise in electrical prints and identifying redundancies
- Always upholds the Faith safety culture
- The go-to contact for all trades on the building and coordinates upcoming tasks
- Breaks the job down into daily and weekly goals and determines appropriate deployment of resources and/or materials
- Demonstrates ability to do advanced paperwork (Implementation & Release of LOTO)
- Has experience with complex and/or technical installations
- Keeps technical aptitude current
- Affords assistance in coordinating activities for locking out, releasing lock-outs, Energizations and De-Energizations
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours)
- Travel: 60-75%
- Work Schedule: Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays
