Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the site-specific Lockout/Tagout program.
- Create and review energy control procedures (ECPs) for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ensure all hazardous energy sources are properly identified, documented, and controlled.
- Cookordinate and supervise LOTO activities for construction, commissioning, maintenance, and start-up operations.
- Verify proper application and removal of locks and tags.
- Maintain real-time LOTO logs and system status boards.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with established procedures.
- Train and certify authorized and affected employees in LOTO procedures.
- Conduct refresher training and toolbox talks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 and applicable client safety standards.
- Serve as the central point of contact for all LOTO-related activities onsite.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and facility operators.
- Facilitate daily coordination meetings to review active LOTO scopes and impacts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all lockouts, tags, and system isolations.
- Prepare reports for leadership regarding LOTO compliance and safety performance.
- Aid in incident investigations involving hazardous energy control.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction, industrial, manufacturing, or mission critical experience.
- Demonstrated experience administering Lockout/Tagout programs.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA hazardous energy control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications preferred.
- Experience in data centers, semiconductor facilities, power generation, or other mission critical environments preferred.
