About the role
Campers Inn RV is seeking a Lot Porter/Forklift Driver to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibilities include driving and towing RVs, operating the forklift (as required by location), and maintaining the appearance of RV lots.
Responsibilities
- Transport RVs to and from service bays, stores, gas stations, repair facilities, and locations
- Keep new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving RVs as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
- Make a daily inspection of showroom and service entrance doors and wash as necessary
- Keep units in a “sale-ready” condition
- Maintain Dealership premises as directed by Supervisor/Manager
- Assist with pre-delivery inspections
- Fill vehicles with gas
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
- A minimum of one year detailing experience (preferred)
- Experience in RV or automotive dealership environment (preferred)
- Forklift experience/certification preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Pride of workmanship and follow-through are essential
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Ability to drive a tractor and other towing vehicles
- Ability to navigate risks associated with working around machines, tools, and RVs
- Ability to move RVs of various sizes as needed
- Ability to organize various physical tasks through adjusting, climbing ladders, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending
- Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
