Transport drivers and manage a small team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Orient and instruct new drivers on job duties; assist supervisor in assigning and directing work.
  • Communicate with supervisor or manager to maintain proper vehicle flow and log stock numbers with lot locations.
  • Communicate schedules and assignments to crew members.
  • Manage vans and transport drivers to locations; ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles according to schedule.
  • Shuttle employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days; transport employees to remote parking sites for inventoried vehicles.
  • Pick-up and drop-off employees and auction personnel at the auction, parking lots, dealerships, customer locations, and other sites.
  • Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van; clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures; cooperate with Market Safety Manager on safety activities.
  • Review work volumes with manager; plan and monitor staffing levels for efficiency, quality, and customer service; track departmental performance against KPIs and develop improvement strategies.
  • Lead the team by example, championing company values and ensuring respectful treatment of all employees.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management; may require overtime as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • OR any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years' experience in a related discipline.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Pay

Hourly pay rate ranges from $18.17 to $27.21 per hour. The base rate may vary based on location and candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission or incentive programs.
