About the role
As a Loss Prevention Specialist at Goodwill Manasota, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and secure environment for donors, customers, and employees. You will be responsible for awareness and prevention, facility protection and corporate security, partnership, training, and ensuring compliance with Goodwill's policies.
Responsibilities
- Awareness & Prevention: Communicates, trains, and educates security and loss prevention programs and strategies. Ensures open and honest communication to prevent harm to team members, donors, or customers.
- Facility Protection and Corporate Security: Investigates disturbances, assists with facility security, monitors facilities, and responds to critical incidents.
- Partnership: Partners with stakeholders, manages processes, and addresses departmental requests.
- Training: Ensures 100% customer satisfaction and delivers training, particularly in new hire orientation and safety training.
Requirements
- Ability to provide one-on-one and group training and knowledge sharing.
- Effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and interview skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Strong public relations and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in operating digital platforms and systems including RM/LP management and video systems.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality regarding investigations and employee information.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of loss prevention/asset protection experience in a multi-unit capacity preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in CCTV, Burglar, Fire alarm Maintenance/Monitoring, Access Control (Key & Lock Systems / Electronic systems).
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- LPC, Wicklander-Zulawski Interview and Interrogation, or other certification a plus.
Special Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a privately owned vehicle to travel throughout the Goodwill territory.
- Flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends.
- Safety-sensitive role requiring drug testing.
