The Role

The Loss Prevention Associate will be responsible for identifying theft while reviewing video footage of various store locations. Ability to have strict attention to detail while reviewing footage for 6-8 hours per day is required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all client generated requests
  • Review videos to observe customer and associate behavior
  • Identify and document incidents of theft or suspected theft
  • Prepare detailed reports for review with management and clients regarding incidents
  • Attend off-site client meetings to present findings and interview customers/associates suspected of theft
  • Work with various stakeholders and authorities to achieve resolution
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements

  • A high school diploma required
  • Continuing education with a bachelor's in criminal justice or retail management strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with video review for loss prevention experience preferred
  • Self-directed with a proven track record of delivering results with minimal guidance/direction
  • Results oriented and flexible; Takes action as soon as a need arises and steadily follows through on tasks while communicating progress
  • High level of integrity and dependability. Trustworthy and discreet, with high ethical standards and professional image
  • Proven problem-solving ability. Detail-oriented with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
  • Team player that doesn't mind working in close quarters with other team members
  • Strong proficiency with electronic communication and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work Monday – Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Qualifications

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel will be throughout southeastern Michigan down to Northern Ohio
