About the role

Allied Universal is hiring Loss Prevention Associates to oversee a Grocery Market located in Brooklyn. As a Loss Prevention Associate, you will contribute to our company’s core purpose of providing unparalleled service, systems, and solutions to serve, secure, and care for the people and businesses in our communities.

Responsibilities

• Blend into a retail environment and perform successful customer surveillance while walking the sales floor
• Detect and apprehend shoplifters following company policy and guidelines
• Handle crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently
• Possess general operating knowledge of retail security camera equipment
• Travel to store locations within 25 miles of home
• Work retail store hours, including evenings and weekends

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Previous Law Enforcement, Military, or prior retail Loss Prevention experience (undercover experience a plus)
• Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• For driving positions: possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), and meet minimum insurance requirements as per Company policy
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites
• Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Pay

$24.63 - $25.63 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time positions available
• Work shifts: 2pm - 10pm
• Workdays: Flexible, Tuesday - Saturday
