Loss Prevention Associates - Grocery Store

About the role

Allied Universal is hiring Loss Prevention Associates to oversee a Grocery Store located near Lenox Hill. Positions are available full-time, with shifts from 12pm - 8pm and workdays from Friday through Monday. The pay rate is $25.63 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a Grocery Store location
• Contribute to the company's core purpose of providing unparalleled service, systems, and solutions to serve, secure, and care for the communities and customers we serve
• Apprehend shoplifters with previous security experience or former military/law enforcement background encouraged
• Deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
• Work retail store hours including evenings and weekends
• Perform customer surveillance while walking the sales floor
• Apprehend shoplifters following company policy and guidelines
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
• Lift or carry up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Qualifications/Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Drive a vehicle with a valid Driver’s License, at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle
• Successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Have general operating knowledge of retail security camera equipment
