About the Role
Engage owners with past-due accounts to understand their financial situation and identify appropriate resolution options.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate settlements, payment plans, and hardship alternatives within established guidelines.
- Educate owners on available programs, timelines, and required documentation.
- Prepare and send settlement documentation, track execution, and ensure accurate updates across systems.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare daily and weekly performance reports.
- Escalate high-risk or complex situations to leadership as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in debt negotiation, hardship resolution, or financial settlement operations.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to build rapport and reduce conflict.
- Able to analyze borrower financial circumstances and recommend realistic options.
- Excellent communication skills; professional, clear, empathetic.
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Basic math and reasoning skills to explain balances, fees, and payment structures.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Concord, Buzz, Escrow, SPI, JAG, and Accurint is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong advantage.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Concord, Buzz, Escrow, SPI, JAG, and Accurint.
