Loss Mitigation Specialist

Location: Tempe, AZ (100% On‑Site)

About the role

As a Loss Mitigation Collections Representative, you will assist mortgage customers who are experiencing financial hardship and are behind on their mortgage payments. You'll handle both inbound and outbound calls, gather financial information, and help customers understand potential repayment or mortgage assistance options. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls regarding delinquent mortgage accounts
• Speak professionally and empathetically with customers about past-due mortgage payments
• Collect and document customer financial information accurately
• Educate customers on available repayment plans and potential financial assistance options
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and account activity
• Follow all company compliance, quality, and customer service standards
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and performance development programs

Requirements

• Previous customer service, collections, call center, or financial services experience preferred
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Comfortable handling sensitive financial conversations with customers
• Ability to multitask and navigate multiple computer systems
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Pay

$22.00/hour

Schedule

Full‑Time | 40 Hours per Week, Monday‑Friday; Spring/Summer Hours: 9:00 AM‑6:00 PM; Fall/Winter Hours: 10:00 AM‑7:00 PM; Monthly Saturday rotation required (one half‑day per month, typical hours 7:00 AM‑11:00 AM or 8:00 AM‑12:00 PM).
