Loss Control Inspector Trainee - New York City, NY

About the role

You will handle claims in property and general liability up to €100,000, as well as business contents and business interruption (BU) claims up to €25,000.

• Inspect and settle these claims on-site with customers, distribution partners, and affected parties, including on-site coverage assessment.
• Make final assessments, decisions, and process claims on-site.
• Coordinate and review the activities of service partners in damage restoration and demolition, as well as review expert reports, quotes, and invoices.
• Coordinate the deployment of experts.

Requirements

• Qualification as an insurance clerk or insurance specialist.
• Basic knowledge of building physics, biology, and technology.
• Fundamental understanding of restoration techniques and technical contexts.
• High willingness to travel.
• Several years of practical experience in claims handling, particularly in property insurance lines.
