Loss Control Consultant - Safety & Compliance

About the role

As a Loss Control Consultant on the Safety & Compliance team, you’ll perform site assessments to determine potential loss causing issues as well as non-compliance with governmental regulations. You’ll also review existing policies & procedures to ensure compliance with various agencies such as OSHA or DOT, as well as requirements of insurance companies. Additionally, you will develop written safety policies & procedures specific for client needs to comply with insurance company requirements, governmental regulations, or other entities. Finally, you will provide alternative approaches and risk prevention or reduction suggestions for customers to better implement safety and loss prevention programs/strategies.

Responsibilities

• Perform site assessments to identify potential loss causing issues and non-compliance with governmental regulations.
• Review existing policies & procedures to ensure compliance with agencies like OSHA or DOT, and insurance company requirements.
• Develop written safety policies & procedures tailored to client needs.
• Provide alternative approaches and risk prevention or reduction suggestions for customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 4+ years safety, compliance, loss prevention/control experience
• Strong knowledge of insurance carrier loss control services and governmental safety regulations
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, management, and peers
• CPR Certified
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service related skills

Qualifications

• ARM, CRM, OHST, CSP, or CIH Certification (plus points)
