Lorry Driver (7.5t)/Yards Person
This is a diverse position that combines driving, yard management, stock control, plant administration and on-site support.
Responsibilities
- Transport materials and equipment to and from sites
- Assist with muck away activities
- Maintain a safe and organised yard environment
- Monitor stock levels
- Manage plant and equipment
- Support operational teams when required
- Work closely with site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards
- Participate in a one-in-four call-out rota to support emergency and out-of-hours operational requirements

Requirements
- Experience in a driver, yard operative, general operative or similar construction-related role
- Experience as a 7.5t driver general operative, or similar construction-based role
- Familiarity with construction site operations and material handling
- Good knowledge of civils, construction site activities and material handling
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
- Ability to safely load, secure and transport materials and equipment
- Good communication, organisational and time management skills
- Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Full UK driving licence
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
A driving licence check will be conducted as part of this role.
