About the role
The Longwall Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of longwall mining equipment. This includes ensuring that all machinery operates safely and efficiently, and that all necessary repairs are made promptly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of longwall mining equipment
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently
- Maintain records of all maintenance activities
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely repairs
- Train and mentor junior staff members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mining operations
- Proven track record of managing and maintaining complex machinery
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- First aid certification
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Skills
- Proficient in using mining equipment diagnostic tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
