Longo Lexus Master Technician/Certified Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Longo Lexus Master Technician/Certified Technician who can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. As the #1 Lexus Dealership in the Western US, we are committed to providing exceptional guest service and superior vehicle repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as assigned, in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and standards.
• Communicate with the management team and service consultants throughout the service repair process.
• Complete a variety of vehicle repairs, from oil changes to rebuilding engines.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Document all work performed and findings on repair orders and inspection sheets.
• Maintain communication with the Parts Department on the status of parts.
• Operate manual transmission vehicles and determine causes of operating errors.
• Coordinate activities with other employees and maintain a high level of grooming and hygiene.
• Perform other specific administrative functions as directed by service management.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent from Automotive Technology
• At least three (3) years of automotive experience (or equivalent)
• A minimum of 4 ASEs
• Fully proficient in mathematical principles and application
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Strong ability to coordinate activities with other employees
• Good attention to detail and ability to read and comprehend instructions in the English language
• Valid California driver's license and acceptable, safe driving record

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and heavy equipment
• Physical ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments

Pay

The position offers a base hourly compensation ranging from $32.00, depending on experience. Production bonuses may also be paid based on individual or team performance, with no fixed upper limit.

This position is 100% on-site at Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA.
