Long Term Substitute Teacher – High School Math

About the role

Kansas City Christian School is seeking a qualified long-term substitute teacher to cover maternity leave for our high school math department, beginning August 5th – September 14th. This position covers Algebra 1, Trig/Pre-Calculus, College Calculus and College Algebra. A candidate would follow established curriculum and lesson plans provided by the current teacher in order to help maintain continuity of instruction during the regular teacher's absence.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction aligned with the curriculum and lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
• Grade student work, maintain grade records, take attendance, and provide feedback to students as needed
• Participate in staff meetings as needed

Qualifications

• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to the full assignment period (August 5th – September 14th)
• Committed Christian and in agreement with our statement of faith
