LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE ? ELEMENTARY ART TEACHER (September-October 2026)

Eligibility: NYS Certification in Art preferred, but not required. Early Childhood Education (Birth to Grade 2) or Childhood Education (Grades 1-6).

About the role

Plan for and provide effective instruction, consistent with district curriculum expectations and the New York State common core standards to elementary students. Ability to understand, embed, and implement the curriculum and common core standards in daily instruction.

Requirements

• Certification in Art, Early Childhood Education, or Childhood Education
• Ability to work collaboratively with parents, students, teachers, and administrative staff over the K-12 continuum

Pay

$41,600 per year (competitive salary).

• Full time
• Long-term substitute position
• Start date: September 1, 2026

Required certification types: Art (6010), Childhood Education Grades 1-6 (3014), Early Childhood Education Birth - Grade 2 (3013). Reports to: Elementary Principal.
