Long-term Internship - Technical Product Marketing
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Long-term Intern (multi-semester) to join the Technical Product Marketing team based in Grand Prairie, TX.
About the role
In this role, you will provide the Marketing team with additional support in sales support and focused marketing efforts as directed by the Coordinator, Regional Marketing and the Manager of Product Marketing & Analysis. Create effective and custom marketing initiatives within the region through an understanding of the customer’s, key stakeholders’ needs, wants, and decision triggers. Based on a period of successful performance and learning progression, you may act as the direct point of contact for specified sales team members within the North American territories and market segments.
Responsibilities
- Regional Marketing (40%)
- Assist the Coordinator, Regional Marketing with regional and market segment-based sales support by preparing customized collateral, proposal decks, and targeted messaging materials for sales managers in the North American region.
- Assist the Manager, Product Marketing & Analysis with regional and market segment-based analysis, utilizing tools such as Salesforce and internal databases to track sales performance and customer interactions.
- Foster productive relationships with all sales, marketing, and communications team members to ensure cross-departmental alignment, clear brand messaging, and seamless execution of regional campaigns.
- Understanding the Customer and Competitor (40%)
- Grow your marketing knowledge base on how customers operate Airbus products and impact markets by conducting research on fleet utilization, mission profiles, and operational requirements.
- Grow your marketing knowledge base on how customers interact with Airbus service offerings, such as HCare and aftermarket support solutions, to identify key customer value drivers and decision triggers.
- Monitor competitive product offerings, pricing strategies, and regional market positioning to understand how competitors operate within markets.
- Understanding the NA Market (20%)
- Develop an early professional-level understanding of operators, markets, and specific market trends across key commercial, parapublic, and private helicopter aviation sectors in North America.
- Participate with the marketing team to define future marketing efforts, campaigns, and trade show graphics that create broader overall business opportunities for Airbus Helicopters North America (AHNA).
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be currently located in the DFW metro area as this is a multi-semester, onsite work opportunity.
- Pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree at an accredited college/university, continuing studies in the spring, summer, and/or fall semesters.
- Must submit a resume and transcript indicating class level (e.g., Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a highly functioning professional team.
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills.
- Proficient in both written and verbal English.
- Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite knowledge.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future need of visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.
- Some office work environment experience, preferably aerospace-focused.
- Ability to work up to 29 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.
- French, Spanish, and/or German language skills.
Working Environment
A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where over 1,000 employees work. The Dallas-Fort Worth area offers access to seven professional sports teams, including a custom Airbus helicopter dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys.

- Onsite: 80% (flexible offsite schedule possible once core responsibilities are established).
- Vision: Ability to see and read computer screens, documents, reports, and engineering drawings.
- Hearing: Ability to hear conversations in person and via teleconference or phone, including safety warnings or alarms.
- Speaking: Ability to participate in conversations, meetings, and communications.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate personal computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, and related office equipment.
- Carrying: Ability to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
- Lifting: Ability to lift documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
- Pushing/Pulling: Ability to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment/tools occasionally.
- Sitting: Ability to sit for long periods during meetings or while working on a computer.
- Squatting/Kneeling: Ability to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelving occasionally.
- Standing: Ability to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
- Travel: Ability to travel independently and at short notice, up to 10% upon authorization.
- Walking: Ability to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Required PPE includes safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by site or customer site.
