Long Term Care Scheduler (DOH/NMBHI #13026)

About the role

To schedule both licensed and certified staff to the various wings for the care and safety of the residents that reside at Meadows Long Term Care Facility. The customers are the Nursing Department and the residents at Meadows Long Term Care Facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each wing/unit has adequate coverage to provide for the care/acuity of the residents that reside on the wing/unit.
• Ensure that union rules are followed when mandating overtime and requesting staff to provide coverage.
• Post the schedule timely to meet wage and labor requirements.
• Cover open position(s) on various shifts to ensure coverage is provided.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience pertaining to the essential duties of the classification; any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience totaling one (1) year may substitute.
• Possess and maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
• Obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
• Position is safety‑sensitive; subject to pre‑employment and random alcohol/drug testing per federal and state law.
• Subject to nationwide criminal background checks; employment conditional on results.
• Successfully complete post‑offer pre‑employment criminal records background check
