About the role

ATSC is seeking a Logistics Technician to support daily logistics operations, including inventory management, material handling, accountability of Government Funded Equipment (GFE), and production support. This role contributes to accurate material control, timely data entries, and high internal/external customer service. Must be able to obtain a DHS Background Investigation clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory functions including cycle counts, repairs, material labeling, organizing stock, and order fulfillment.
  • Prepare quote requests for program requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of cycle counts, program documentation, and shipping paperwork.
  • Read and interpret purchase orders to verify part numbers, quantities, and customer requirements.
  • Enter and update manufacturing orders and inventory transactions in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Track incoming and outgoing materials and ensure proper documentation is entered into inventory control systems.
  • Inspect outgoing products to confirm they meet quality standards and specifications (blueprints, manuals, company/military requirements).
  • Perform visual inspection of received items to verify accuracy against purchase orders; identify defects, shortages, or incorrect items.
  • Review and analyze Cost Point and Integrated Logistics support system (ILSS) reports.
  • Assist with Return-to-Vendor (RTV) processing, including documentation, tracking, adjustments, and disposal when required.
  • Build strong working relationships with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams; support daily operational needs.
  • Communicate daily with the Logistics Lead regarding issues, concerns, or delays affecting manufacturing orders.
  • Maintain high levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area.
  • Process orders and support broader supply chain activities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on logistics experience in inventory or materials management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Costpoint preferred).
  • Understanding inventory numbering, part identification, and material control best practices.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Highly detail oriented with strong follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Experience with receiving/handling military or government related products a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment.
  • Employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and handle materials.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Travel as required to support program needs.
