Logistics Technician

About the role
The Logistics team at GF is seeking a professional to support warehouse operations and on-site Operations. The candidate will work in a warehouse environment to provide the FAB with materials, ensuring company goals are met. This role supports a 24/7 manufacturing environment and may require obtaining and maintaining a government-issued security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and clerical duties related to the assigned warehouse area.
- Work efficiently and safely in a warehouse environment to support material delivery to the FAB.
- Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
- Communicate end-of-shift pass-downs effectively.
- Prioritize and plan daily work and scheduled activities using time management skills.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Support and engage in training activities.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including working at elevated heights with harness and fall protection.
- Bend, crouch, and reach under racks for 50–75% of a 12-hour shift.
- Work in a cleanroom environment, wearing a cleanroom suit for extended periods (if required).
- Work in a chemical warehouse and outside in inclement weather (less than 25% of the shift).
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.
- Maintain a current CDL and satisfy all DOT qualification standards, including medical certification and drug/alcohol testing.
- Wear upgraded PPE, including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hard hat, and safety vest.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Basic reading, writing, and counting comprehension skills.
- Basic computer navigation skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Oracle, X-Site, Outlook).
- Valid NY State driver’s license.
- Ability to stand for long periods (excluding breaks) and perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and kneeling.
- Ability to work in a standing position for >85% of a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces for >85% of a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to lift, pull, and/or carry at least 50 pounds periodically throughout the shift.
- Ability to utilize a computer (typing, visual screen time) for >85% of a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment (if required).
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including working at elevated heights with proper safety gear.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a warehouse environment, comfortable around heavy equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, etc.).
- Ability to use equipment for packing, wrapping, and crating materials.
- Familiarity with Lean Processes (6S and Kaizen).
- Strong team player with the ability to work within a global team.
- Experience with troubleshooting and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to count large amounts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement projects, learning, and skills development.
Schedule
This role supports a 24/7 manufacturing environment and requires working assigned shifts, which may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules. Shift schedules are subject to change.
- Shift A (days): Week 1: Sunday to Wednesday 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM; Week 2: Sunday to Tuesday 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
- Shift B (nights): Week 1: Sunday to Tuesday 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM; Week 2: Sunday to Tuesday + Saturday 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
- Shift C (days): Week 1: Thursday to Saturday 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM; Week 2: Wednesday to Saturday 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
- Shift D (nights): Week 1: Wednesday to Saturday 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM; Week 2: Wednesday to Friday 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
Pay
Expected salary range: $37,500.00 – $63,000.00. The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
