Logistics Technician
About the role
The Logistics Technician supports laboratory operations by ensuring the timely, accurate, and cost-effective shipment of consignments. This role maintains shipping documentation, inventory of shipping supplies, and compliance with Good Clinical Practice requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare package address labels, invoices, and shipping documentation using courier systems
- Verify and maintain shipping address databanks within QLIMS
- Perform quality control checks on shipping documentation and records
- Check shipments against manifests to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed
- Maintain professional standards for all photocopied and generated paperwork
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and operationally efficient
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of related experience
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of import/export regulations
- Experience using QLIMS and courier shipping systems
- Ability to prepare and maintain shipping documentation and manifests accurately
- Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional sitting
- Close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints)
- Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks
- Occasional exposure to cold temperatures

Pay
The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $25,800.00 - $53,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
