Logistics Technician

About the role

The Distribution Technician supports patient care by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical surgical supplies and patient care equipment. This role involves physical inventory, data entry, supply replenishment, and responding to individual requests.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical inventory of supply carts
• Data entry of supply orders
• Receives, replenishes, and maintains stock par levels
• Responds to individual requests for supplies and equipment
• Procures non-stock supplies and specialty equipment
• Physically exchanges supply carts
• Cleans and data enters patient charges
• Performs periodic physical inventories as directed
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace
• Assists the Processing Technician with collection and cleaning of patient care sterile equipment as needed
• Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• A minimum of one-year experience with Central Service, Materials Management, or a healthcare-related field preferred
• Hospital storeroom and data entry experience preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
