Responsibilities

• Oversee the shipping and delivery of domestic & international materials
• Maintain communication with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers, TAPCO personnel, 3PL providers, brokers, and others involved in the shipping and delivery of goods
• Manage daily routes/schedules of inbound and outbound shipments and track progress
• Coordinate with direct reports to review all outstanding and planned shipments
• Schedule inbound deliveries by coordinating with Purchasing & Planning
• Coordinate with the Warehouse supervisor on personnel workload and scheduling issues
• Ensure that Transfer Sheets and PO receipts are completed and verified
• Ensure that procedures are completed in accordance with established Logistics and Transportation processes
• Ensure all employees are aware of their job duties and are cross-trained in necessary capacities
• Observe employee performance and train in proper processes and standards
• Enforce safety guidelines and rules, OSHA requirements, and all company policies
• Create graphs and PowerPoint presentations to communicate Transportation Metrics
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering (preferred) or 3+ years of experience as a Logistics / Transportation / Traffic Manager
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lead a team in managing logistics operations effectively
