About the role

Ecolab is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support chemical deliveries across its customer network. The role involves real-time safety and logistics control, resolving issues through a fast-paced inbound-call environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support both English- and French-speaking customers, ensuring clear communication and accurate issue resolution.
  • Manage incoming calls daily related to delivery verification and safety checks.
  • Review shipment details, tank data, and system information to approve or stop deliveries based on safety and compliance criteria.
  • Document all interactions, decisions, and outcomes in tracking systems.
  • Create and manage IT incident tickets to document, track, and escalate EVD system or application issues.
  • Create Delivery Action Requests (DARs) to capture tank setup issues, documentation gaps, or Bill of Lading discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Ecolab field teams and account representatives to resolve delivery or system issues.
  • Respond to Chemtrec alerts related to in-transit incidents, damaged packages, or chemical events; assist with coordination when escalation is required.
  • Generate and maintain delivery compliance and safety data, supporting reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be analytical, tech-savvy, and a quick learner. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and operate within tools such as SAP and other digital platforms are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of logistics, operation, supply chain, customer service, or related experience, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn complex operational roles
  • French fluency
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong computer skills (including enterprise systems)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) or similar productivity tools
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to changing processes
  • Interest in logistics, safety, transportation, or operations environments
  • Knowledge of safety or compliance concepts (e.g. HazMat, DOT, or similar) - training provided
  • Clear communication, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving skills

Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range: $48,800.00 - $73,300.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc.
