Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor transportation activity to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance for customer shipments.
  • Track shipments and proactively communicate shipment status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely receipt and processing of carrier documentation, invoices, and related transportation records.
  • Identify transportation service issues and recommend corrective actions to management to improve carrier performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide cross-functional support through collaboration and cross-training with other Logistics Specialists to ensure continuous customer coverage and service.

Work Environment

Fast-paced transportation and logistics environment.

Frequent interaction with customers, carriers, and internal operations teams via phone, email, and transportation management systems.

Primarily office-based work requiring extended periods of computer use.

Team-oriented environment with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Days and Shift Information

Schedule to be determined based on business and customer requirements.

May require flexibility to support customer operations during peak periods or coverage needs.

Qualifications

Education

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year of related logistics, transportation, supply chain, or customer service experience is required.
  • Experience working in a transportation or logistics environment is preferred.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are required.

  • $45k-50k salary range.
  • Accrue up to five days paid time off in the first year. Two weeks vacation, plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary.
