Logistics Specialist

About the role

As part of our shop team, you will assist two key functions of the business, enjoying variety and avoiding repetitive days.

Responsibilities

• Follow all established safety protocols, maintaining documentation as required, including monthly fire extinguisher audits, weekly forklift inspections, monthly office air filter checks, and collaborating to help schedule annual inspections.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to place orders with vendors as needed to maintain target inventory levels and/or meet job/project requirements, completing weekly audits for items low in inventory and monthly complete cycle counts.
• Track incoming shipments to ensure target dates are met.
• Ensure all inventory is received accurately, both physically and in the ERP system.
• Assemble and/or rebuild parts/components as needed to ensure proper function or coordinate returns for faulty components to the vendor.
• Pull required parts for customer jobs and/or shop use.
• Resolve issues with end users when required to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain job worksheets, including a Quality Checklist for each completed job or by stage, ensuring hours are allocated properly to projects for billing and completion tracking.
• Develop and maintain an asset log for all power tools.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably working with parts/components.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in inventory maintenance.
