Logistics Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain infrastructure inventory levels to support build and repair activities.
• Receive parts and maintain inventory.
• Check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
• Load and unload shipments and transport computer/server parts between different locations.

Requirements

• 0-2 years experience in a warehouse / distribution environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Must be able to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances.
• May participate in group lifts of 50 pounds or more.
• Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired.
• Push or pull heavy objects into position.
• Work in a noisy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience using Inventory Management Systems (preferred).
• Understands inventory control methodology (preferred).
• Demonstrated positive work attitude & leadership skills (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to perform above minimum for extended periods of time (preferred).
• Commitment to a culture of safety (preferred).
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) (preferred).

Physical / Environmental Demands

• Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
• Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
• Occasionally work is in a warehouse environment where the noise level is loud.
• Occasionally assist in loading and unloading shipments.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme cold or hot weather.

Work Environment

• Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
• Noise level varies and can be loud.
• Temperature between 60 and 90 degrees, and will occasionally exceed 90 degrees.
