About the role
The Logistics Specialist supports the modernization of legacy radar systems across eight Ground-Based Radar sites. These systems provide continuous surveillance, detection, tracking, and reporting of missile and satellite activity in support of Missile Warning (MW), Missile Defense (MD), and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) missions.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute logistics and IPS activities supporting system deployment, sustainment, and lifecycle management across all radar sites.
- Ensure equipment, materials, technical data, and support resources are available when and where needed to meet program requirements.
- Cross-functional Logistics Integration: Coordinate logistics activities across engineering, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment teams to support delivery and fielding of modernized radar capabilities.
- Manage inventory, asset accountability, equipment tracking, and configuration management processes.
- Transportation & Shipment Coordination: Coordinate transportation, shipping, and delivery activities to support site modernization and deployment timelines.
- Provisioning & Sparing: Support provisioning, sparing analyses, maintenance planning, and technical documentation development for long-term sustainment.
- Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify logistics risks, resolve supply chain challenges, and recommend process improvements.
- Lifecycle & Readiness Analysis: Develop logistics metrics, readiness assessments, and lifecycle analyses to support sustainment performance and operational availability.
- Manage logistics data in MBSE CAMEO Enterprise Architect, working in a digital environment with system architectures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience (additional experience, training, or certifications may substitute for degree).
- US Citizen; Currently possesses an Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience supporting large-scale technical, engineering, aerospace, defense, or government programs.
- Demonstrated experience across the logistics lifecycle, including planning, procurement, transportation, inventory management, asset tracking, maintenance support, and technical data management.
- Strong understanding of Integrated Product Support (IPS), lifecycle logistics, provisioning, sparing strategies, maintenance planning, and configuration management.
- Experience coordinating logistics activities across multiple stakeholders and managing the flow of materials, equipment, and information in complex technical environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve logistics challenges in dynamic operational settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, program managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and government customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience supporting DoD, MDA, U.S. Space Force, Air Force, or Intelligence Community programs.
- Direct experience supporting radar systems, missile warning systems, missile defense programs, space surveillance systems, command and control systems, or large-scale modernization efforts.
- Experience developing Integrated Product Support Plans (IPSPs), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), provisioning documentation, maintenance concepts, technical manuals, and training support packages.
