Logistics Specialist, ADC InfraOps Logistics
About the role
AWS is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage the transportation, shipping, receiving, and inventory control of components and equipment for AWS data centers. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in logistics, with a focus on transportation, shipping, receiving, and inventory control and warehousing. This role involves driving long distances, handling sensitive materials, and working in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Responsibilities
- Process in-stock components and receive and process inbound shipments
- Coordinate and execute daily equipment deliveries to data centers across the region
- Assist with ongoing requests to ensure proper stock levels are maintained and distributed to all locations
- Create plans to optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle
- Work with Datacenter Operations Technicians to fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately
- Work with Procurement teams to ensure inbound equipment orders are complete and delivered to appropriate Data Center Locations
- Ensure accurate data entry and resolve questions from peer organizations
- Maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and/or Excel spreadsheets and create reports for internal and external customers and management as required
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- Experience with transportation, shipping, and receiving
- Ability to lift up to 39 pounds and carry items for short distances
- Ability to participate in group lifts of 40 pounds or more
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment and occasionally work in an office setting
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
Qualifications
- 1+ years of logistics experience
- 1+ years of material forecasting experience

Pay
Base salary range: $29.00 - $50.00 USD per hour
Schedule
Variable schedule to accommodate the demands of the role, including occasional overnight travel.
