LOGISTICS SHIPPING COORDINATOR
About the Role
Planning, scheduling, and tracking loads/shipment activities while maintaining accurate records. Identifying traffic problems or issues and creating corrective action plans to achieve timely results. Communicating with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal & external customer support to schedule shipment activities. Performing administrative tasks efficiently to deliver high-quality service. Utilizing WMS to update required information in compliance with customer requirements, procedures, and regulations. Corresponding with customers and reporting client requests while staying updated on industry-relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process all types of outbound orders (EDI, Loose, Case), including handling paperwork to expedite shipments in accordance with each customer’s routing guides and shipping requirements.
- Arrange shipping and associated logistic requirements for all outbound property, both domestic and international.
- Work closely with key partners in outbound logistics, including customers and freight providers.
- Obtain quotes from shippers and service providers, selecting the most suitable option for internal and external clients.
- Schedule domestic pick-ups and WEB tender all Parcel and LTL shipments.
- Communicate issues concerning sales orders or shipment delays to the Shipping Supervisor, Shipping Lead, and/or Warehouse Manager.
- Review, prepare, and route purchase orders.
- Ensure safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, monitoring costs, timelines, and productivity.
- Address and resolve shipment and inventory issues.
- Verify and maintain records of outgoing shipments against Bills of Lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Monitor daily tracking reports from carrier portals and report issues concerning the RED BOOK to the Shipping Supervisor and Shipping Lead.
- Ensure items are loaded onto shipment vehicles safely and on time.
- Replenish pallets and related supplies needed for daily order processing.
- Maintain shipping stations organized and clean according to 6S standards.
- Close dock doors, shut off fans, computers, lights, conveyors, and Hi-Lo equipment at the end of the shift.
- Report safety issues to the Shipping Lead or Shipping Supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain a high level of physical activity for prolonged periods, primarily working while standing.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs when necessary.
- Computer-savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Bilingual preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of industry experience.

Pay
The expected base salary for this position is estimated and depends on factors such as experience, skills, education, budget, and location.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
