Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities within logistics, freight forwarding, and international transportation markets
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors, and supply chain partners
- Identify customer needs and present logistics solutions aligned with shipping, freight, and trade requirements
- Manage sales activity across Transatlantic and Transpacific trade lanes
- Support contract discussions, pricing conversations, and customer negotiations
- Partner with internal operations teams to ensure smooth execution of customer shipments and service expectations
- Maintain knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes, international shipping documentation, and trade compliance requirements
- Track sales activity, client communications, and business development progress
- Represent the company professionally in client-facing meetings, calls, and industry-related conversations
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, freight sales, or international transportation
- Proven B2B sales experience within a logistics, freight forwarding, or international shipping environment
- Strong understanding of Transatlantic and Transpacific trade lanes
- Knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, import/export processes, trade compliance, and international shipping documentation
- Experience managing customer relationships, contracts, logistics operations, and international trade activities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment
- Must be located within commutable distance to Moonachie, NJ
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
